Entries

An entry is any record of something that happened to a member or a group at a specific point in time. Kinkeep supports five entry types.

Medical entry

Records a veterinary visit. Fields include:

  • Occurred at — date and time of the visit.
  • Clinic — the veterinary clinic where the visit took place.
  • Staff — the vet or technician who attended.
  • Diagnosis — free-text diagnosis.
  • Treatment notes — what was done during the visit.
  • Next appointment — optional date for the follow-up visit. This automatically appears in the calendar.
  • Prescriptions — one or more medications prescribed (see below).

Prescriptions

Each medical entry can have multiple prescriptions. A prescription links to a Treatment (a reusable medication record) and adds:

Weight entry

Records the animal's weight at a given date and time. Supports kg, g, and lb units. The last two measurements are compared to show the trend.

Note entry

A free-text note associated with a date. Useful for recording observations, behavioural changes, or any information that doesn't fit another entry type.

Media entry

Attaches one or more photos or files to a date. Useful for documenting wounds, progress after treatment, or any visual record.

Event entry

A calendar event associated with a member or a group. Fields:
